Vietnam restructures central mass mobilization Party Committee
Vietnam has implemented a restructuring of the Party Committee for Mass Mobilization, the Fatherland Front, and central mass organizations. Under Decision No. 493-QD/TW, signed by Politburo member Tran Cam Tu, the newly named Party Committee for Mass Mobilization, Fatherland Front, and Central Mass Organizations (DVMTĐT) will operate as a party committee directly under the Central Committee, overseen by the Politburo and the Secretariat.
The committee is tasked with researching and advising the Central Committee on major policies and solutions regarding mass mobilization work. It will also serve as the professional hub for mass mobilization, supervising the implementation of Party resolutions and guiding the Vietnam Fatherland Front and other socio-political organizations.
In a separate development during a national conference to implement the resolutions of the 4th Central Committee Meeting, General Secretary and President To Lam criticized the lack of discipline among some officials. He publicly addressed instances of staff using mobile phones, sleeping, or being late during the session, emphasizing that such behavior is “extremely unserious” given the importance of the matters being discussed.
