Vietnam rice prices remain stable in Mekong Delta

Rice and paddy prices in Vietnam's Mekong Delta remained largely stable as of early October 2026. Domestic rice prices across various provinces, including An Giang, Dong Thap, and Vinh Long, showed little to no fluctuation due to slow trading and limited supply.

Export-grade raw rice prices remained steady, with IR 504 ranging from 8,700 to 8,800 VND/kg and CL 555 between 8,750 and 8,850 VND/kg. Other varieties like OM 5451 and OM 18 also maintained consistent pricing. In retail markets, high-end varieties such as Nang Nhen reached 28,000 VND/kg, while common white rice stayed around 16,000 VND/kg.

By-products like rice bran and broken rice also saw stable pricing. While some reports indicated a slight decrease in export rice prices compared to previous sessions, the overall domestic market for both fresh paddy and sticky rice remained flat.
