Vietnam rice prices see slight increases in raw materials and by-products

Rice and raw material prices in Vietnam showed slight increases on September 13, 2026. In the Mekong Delta region, the price of CL 555 raw rice rose by 50 VND/kg, reaching a range of 8,700 – 8,750 VND/kg.

Other raw rice varieties remained relatively stable, including IR 504 (8,600 – 8,700 VND/kg), OM 5451 (9,300 – 9,400 VND/kg), and OM 18 (8,700 – 8,850 VND/kg). By-products also saw minor price hikes, with broken rice (tấm 3,4) increasing by 100 VND/kg to 8,400 – 8,500 VND/kg.

Fresh paddy prices in An Giang province remained steady. Prices for varieties such as Dai Thom 8 and OM 18 fluctuated between 6,200 and 6,400 VND/kg, while OM 5451 was priced at 6,000 – 6,200 VND/kg. In retail markets, prices for specialty rice like Nang Nhen reached 28,000 VND/kg, while common white rice stayed around 16,000 VND/kg.
