Vietnam schedules power outages in Hue and Ca Mau provinces for early July 2026

The state electricity utility announced a series of planned power cuts in central and southern Vietnam during the first half of July 2026. In Hue city, outages are slated for July 9, affecting multiple wards such as Hương An, Phú Bài, Hương Trà, Thuận Hóa and others, with time windows ranging from early morning to late afternoon. The interruptions are linked to routine maintenance, transformer repairs, and cable work.

In Ca Mau province, a broader schedule runs from July 9 to July 12. Specific districts—including Tân Thành, Lý Văn Lâm, Hòa Thành and several road‑side sections—will experience outages at various times, primarily for grid maintenance, equipment testing and low‑voltage line repairs. Both regions were urged to prepare for the temporary loss of electricity.

These planned outages aim to ensure the reliability of the power network and are part of regular upkeep across Vietnam’s electricity infrastructure.
