Vietnam Secretariat issues regulation to protect and honor innovative officials

The Secretariat has issued Regulation No. 220-QĐ/TW to honor, employ, and protect officials who demonstrate initiative, innovation, and responsibility for the common good. This regulation aims to implement Resolution No. 24-NQ/TW, fostering a spirit of pioneering and responsibility within the political system.

Under the new rules, officials whose innovative proposals yield significant results will receive recognition, commendations, and rewards. Successful implementation will serve as a key basis for performance evaluation, training, and personnel planning. Specifically, those with exceptionally outstanding results that can be replicated nationwide will be prioritized for higher leadership positions, strategic cadre planning, and the leadership of key breakthrough tasks.

In addition to career advancement and salary increases, the regulation emphasizes the protection of officials, including those who propose, organize, and advise on innovative initiatives. This mechanism is designed to ensure that those acting in the public interest are shielded while pursuing creative solutions to development challenges.
