India opens market to Vietnamese fresh durian, boosting exports
The Government of India has officially authorized the import of fresh Vietnamese durian, a decision that took effect on 13 July 2026. The Indian phytosanitary order adds Vietnam to the list of countries permitted to export the fruit and does not require additional plant‑health certificates or special import conditions.
The new access gives Vietnamese durian exporters a market of more than one billion consumers.
