Vietnam seeks Samsung cooperation in security and AI technology

Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security has requested cooperation from Samsung Electronics to develop chips for security equipment, artificial intelligence for file analysis, and biometric recognition software.

Following a two-month semiconductor training program provided by Samsung to ministry employees, officials discussed high-tech collaboration. Samsung is currently assisting in the development of optimized software for ministry devices and the integration of its mobile products with security equipment.

The discussions between Security Minister Luong Tam Quang and Samsung Vietnam Director Na Ki Hong follow recent announcements regarding Samsung's increased production of chip substrates in Thai Nguyen province. This expansion comes amid rising global demand for components used in AI-focused data centers.
