Vietnam seeks to expand trade ties with Lebanon and Middle East markets
Vietnam is actively seeking to expand its trade relations with new markets in the Middle East and Africa, specifically targeting Lebanon to drive national economic growth. This initiative was highlighted during the Vietnam-Lebanon Business Forum, co-chaired by Nguyen Nam Duong, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt and Lebanon, and Ibrahim Faz, Vice President of the Tripoli and North Lebanon Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.
The forum included representatives from over 50 Lebanese companies. Participants discussed bilateral trade ties and explored investment opportunities, market access, and the business environments of both nations.
During his working visit to Lebanon, Ambassador Duong also presented his credentials to President Joseph Aoun. President Aoun expressed respect for Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements and the Doi Moi (Renewal) process, stating a desire to strengthen bilateral friendship and cooperation. The ambassador also met with various Lebanese government agencies and trade promotion organizations to advance these diplomatic and economic ties.
