Vietnam sees two separate road incidents: motorbike crash in Bac Ninh and tanker fire on Da Nang‑Quang Ngai highway
In Bac Ninh province, four young men riding two motorbikes weaved between cars at high speed and struck a concrete divider and the rear of a pickup truck. The riders were thrown forward and landed in front of several vehicles; no fatalities were reported. Authorities reminded that reckless lane‑splitting and riding without helmets carry heavy penalties under Decree 168/2024, including fines up to 10‑14 million VND, license suspension and possible criminal charges.
Separately, a gasoline tanker traveling from Da Nang toward Quảng Ngãi caught fire near the Bà Ngôn bridge on the Da Nang‑Quang Ngai highway. Police, fire and rescue units quickly contained the blaze, preventing injuries and limiting property damage. The incident temporarily disrupted traffic, and investigators are examining the cause of the fire.
