Vietnam seizes over 3.4 tonnes of illegal white‑skin cream in Gia Lai province

Market‑regulation authorities in Gia Lai province, Vietnam, discovered and temporarily seized more than 3.4 tonnes of unregistered white‑skin cream on 4 August. The haul included 504 kg of yellow‑coloured cream in 32 cartons and 942 kg of white‑coloured cream in 48 cartons, together with six 30‑litre cans of paraffin oil, a packaging machine, a cream‑filling machine and an inox mixing tank.

The production site, managed by Trần Văn Hùng in Phú Kim village, Phù Cát commune, was operating without a business licence or the legally required product declaration. Hùng admitted the products were made for direct sale to customers seeking skin‑lightening treatments. The seized goods and equipment were held for further verification and possible legal action, underscoring the authorities’ effort to protect consumers and prevent the circulation of unverified cosmetics.
