Vietnam sends condolences to Laos over death of National Assembly Chairman

Bùi Thị Minh Hoài, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, has sent a message of condolence to the Lao Front for National Development following the passing of Saysomphone Phomvihane.

Phomvihane was a member of the Politburo and the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. He also previously served as the Chairman of the Lao Front for National Development. The message described him as an elite and steadfast leader who dedicated his life to the liberation, construction, and development of Laos.

Furthermore, the message highlighted Phomvihane's role as a close comrade and friend to the Vietnamese people, noting his significant contributions to strengthening the special friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations and their respective Fatherland Front organizations.
