Vietnam sets deadlines for national value systems and solar power expansion

The Vietnamese government is accelerating the implementation of several national development plans. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has requested that all ministries, sectors, and local authorities complete the synchronized deployment of national, cultural, and family value systems, as well as Vietnamese human standards, by September 30, 2026.

Simultaneously, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is pushing for the rapid expansion of self-produced, self-consumed rooftop solar power. To ensure power security, the Ministry has directed agencies and local authorities to install solar systems at public buildings, schools, and hospitals, with a completion deadline of March 31, 2027. Local governments are also encouraged to develop support policies for households to install rooftop solar systems, a measure currently implemented in only two provinces.
