Vietnam shifts toward modern agricultural and digital entrepreneurship
Agricultural and entrepreneurial sectors in Vietnam are undergoing significant shifts toward modern economic models. In Phu Tho province, farmers are transitioning from traditional production to an agricultural economic mindset. By focusing on quality, branding, and market demand rather than just yield, producers are utilizing the OCOP program to standardize processes—including raw material selection, food safety, and traceability—to bring local products like tea and honey to larger markets.
In Hanoi, initiatives are supporting women in entrepreneurship through digital transformation. Under the “Support for Capital Women's Entrepreneurship” project, local organizations have helped over 2,800 women start businesses. For example, medicinal herb producers in Trung Gia commune have successfully used digital platforms and social media to overcome traditional marketing barriers, allowing them to reach customers across multiple provinces and build sustainable online brands.
