Vietnam Shop Owner Pham Thi Hoai Charged for Counterfeit Eyewear in Dong Nai

Pham Thi Hoai, a 1977‑born proprietor of the Kinh doanh Kính thuốc Sài Gòn branch in Long Thanh, Dong Nai City, Vietnam, was charged by local police with violating industrial property rights. On 13 June the Long Thanh ward police said the shop displayed and sold hundreds of eyewear items bearing luxury brand logos such as Ray‑Ban, Gucci, Dior, Chanel, Rolex and Hermes, but without any invoices or proof of origin. The counterfeit goods were valued at nearly 300 million VND. Hoai admitted she sourced the glasses from multiple suppliers to diversify the range, attract customers and increase profits, knowing the items were not genuine. Authorities noted this is the first industrial‑property infringement case brought by a municipal police unit in Dong Nai and will continue to compile evidence for prosecution.
