Vietnam signs health MoUs to strengthen medical training and research
In early July 2026, Vietnam’s provincial health authority and higher‑education institutions formalised new partnerships to boost medical education and research.
On 6 July, the Thanh Hóa Department of Health signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Public Health University, committing to joint programmes that will enhance public‑health training and outreach in the province.
A day later, the University of Science and Technology Hanoi (USTH) and Hanoi Renal Hospital signed a similar MoU. The agreement links USTH’s life‑science curricula with the hospital’s clinical environment, aiming to improve student practical skills, expand joint research – including digital health, artificial‑intelligence and data‑science projects – and increase the supply of highly‑qualified health‑care personnel.
Both pacts underscore Vietnam’s broader strategy of integrating academic training with real‑world medical practice to raise the quality of its health‑care workforce.
