Vietnam social housing projects face land recovery and legal investigations
In Hanoi, the Tam Hung Commune People's Committee has issued a notice to recover 486 square meters of agricultural land in Song Khe village to implement the Tam Hung social housing projects. The project includes an 18-story building with 361 apartments and 34 low-rise townhouses. While the estimated price is over 14.5 million VND per square meter, authorities have launched a criminal investigation into the project. Police in Thai Nguyen have indicted seven individuals for forging documents to illegally exploit social housing policies through fraudulent consultancy and distribution practices.
