Vietnam Social Insurance Issues Survey Alert and Fraud Warning for Citizens

The Social Insurance of Vietnam (Bảo hiểm xã hội Việt Nam) released Circular 490/TTHT‑KS on 29 July 2026, announcing a nationwide satisfaction survey on the implementation of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance policies for 2026. The survey will be conducted in multiple phases from late July to mid‑September 2026 through online platforms and in‑person QR codes at one‑stop service counters.

Citizens are urged to participate via official channels and to be vigilant against fraud. Legitimate survey invitations will be sent only from official email addresses such as thongbao@baohiemxahoi.gov.vn or tttruyenthong@vss.gov.vn and will always include a result notification of the processed case. The agency warns that any email containing only a survey link, requests for OTP codes, personal data, money transfers, or calls and messages impersonating the brand name “BHXHVN” are fraudulent. Victims should not comply and should report suspicious contacts to the nearest Social Insurance office.

The notice also calls on provincial Social Insurance offices to increase public awareness of the official survey formats and to help prevent scams that exploit the survey process.
