Vietnam Social Insurance Launches 2026 Survey, Issues Scam Warnings
The Vietnam Social Insurance (BHXH) agency has issued Circular 490/TTHT‑KS to all provincial offices, directing a nationwide satisfaction survey for social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance for 2026. The survey will be delivered through official channels – email from thongbao@baohiemxahoi.gov.vn, QR codes at one‑stop service desks, Zalo, Facebook pages and calls displaying the brand name “BHXHVN”. Participation is free and respondents are reminded that BHXH will never ask for OTP codes, passwords, bank details or any payment.
The agency also warned that fraudsters are impersonating BHXH staff, sending fake links and promoting a bogus “electronic BHXH card” that can install remote‑control software such as TeamViewer or AnyDesk to steal money. The Bac Ninh Provincial Police echoed the warning, describing increasingly sophisticated scams that collect personal identification, photos of ID cards and banking information before hijacking victims’ phones.
In addition, BHXH announced tighter oversight of health‑insurance medical costs and clarified which workers are exempt from mandatory social‑insurance contributions under the 2024 law. All measures aim to improve service quality, protect citizens’ finances and prevent fraud.
