Vietnam Social Security issues health insurance renewal guidance

Vietnam Social Security has issued a recommendation for individuals in the self-payment health insurance group to renew their health insurance cards before they expire. Participants are advised to verify their information after making payments to ensure continuous coverage.

Renewal options include using the National Public Service Portal or the Vietnam Social Security Public Service Portal, which offers a fully online process for first-time registrations, renewals, or changes in participation groups.

Additionally, participants can pay through the mobile applications of four major banks: Vietcombank, Agribank, VietinBank, and BIDV. Users are encouraged to save transaction receipts or codes for future verification. Physical assistance remains available through local social security agencies or designated support organizations.
