Vietnam State Treasury mobilizes 201 trillion VND in government bonds
Vietnam's State Treasury has mobilized over 201,165 billion VND through government bond issuances in the first seven months of 2026, reaching 40% of its annual issuance plan.
In July 2026 alone, the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) hosted 25 auction sessions organized by the State Treasury, raising 18,603.8 billion VND with a successful bid rate of 27%. The issuance during this month focused heavily on 10-year and 5-year tenors, accounting for 51% and 46% of the total volume, respectively.
Auctioned interest rates for various tenors showed a slight increase compared to late May. Specifically, the rates for the 3-year, 5-year, 10-year, 15-year, and 30-year bonds were recorded at 3.55%, 4.20%, 4.36%, 4.50%, and 4.59% per annum. On the secondary market, the listed value of government bonds reached 2,728,745 billion VND at the end of July, a 0.4% increase from the previous month.
