Vietnam stops TTDK vehicle inspection scheduling app

The Vietnam Register of Motor Vehicles (Cục Đăng Kiểm Việt Nam) has ended its partnership with the TTDK mobile application after the contract expired, ceasing online appointment bookings for vehicle inspections. Owners are now instructed to bring their vehicles directly to any inspection centre nationwide without prior scheduling, as the agency says current centre capacity meets or exceeds demand and previous congestion issues have been resolved.

The agency is developing a new digital platform that will allow online registration and additional services, aiming to streamline the inspection process further. While some motorists expressed disappointment that the previously promoted convenience has been removed, officials noted that the appointment system had become largely ineffective, with most centres operating below capacity and serving customers on the same day. The new system will be announced once operational.
