Vietnam strengthens diplomatic ties with Laos, Singapore, and Chile
Vietnam is engaging in several high-level diplomatic and domestic activities. Hanoi and Vientiane have signed a memorandum to expand cooperation between the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Lao Front for National Construction, aiming to strengthen the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos through 2030.
In Singapore, Tran Cam Tu, a member of the Politburo and permanent member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam, participated in the first Vietnam-Singapore Strategic Dialogue and met with local Vietnamese community members. During the visit, the delegation also studied the People’s Action Party’s community engagement models.
In Hanoi, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung received Chilean Foreign Minister Francisco Pérez Mackenna to affirm the Comprehensive Partnership between the two nations, marking the 55th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. Additionally, General Secretary and President To Lam officially appointed four new procurators to the Supreme People's Procuracy.
On a domestic humanitarian note, a ceremony was held at Gia Lam airport for the delivery of over 7,000 biological samples of war martyr remains from Ho Chi Minh City for DNA identification.
