Vietnam strengthens legal and human resource foundations for e-commerce

Vietnam is implementing legal support programs to bolster small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and household businesses within the e-commerce sector. Following a government decision to support these entities from 2026 to 2030, the Ministry of Justice has approved a master plan to help businesses navigate digital transformation, manage legal risks, and improve governance in the digital economy.

As e-commerce becomes essential consumer infrastructure, there is an increasing demand for a specialized workforce. The industry requires professionals trained in a multidisciplinary approach combining information technology, digital marketing, supply chain management, and data-driven decision-making. Emerging roles driven by artificial intelligence, such as AI e-commerce specialists and growth marketing experts, are creating new career paths within the digital landscape.
