Vietnam honors 34 teachers and hosts Hanoi Book Fair

The Vietnam Youth Federation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training and Thien Long Group, has announced the selection of 34 outstanding teachers for the 2026 ‘Sharing with Teachers’ program. Chosen from 190 nominees, these educators serve in mountainous and ethnic minority areas. The group includes 14 teachers from ethnic minorities such as Cham, Khmer, and Tay. The award ceremony is scheduled for November 2026 in Hanoi to coincide with Vietnamese Teachers' Day.

Separately, the 11th Hanoi Book Fair opened on October 2, 2026, at the Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian area. Under the theme ‘Books Open Knowledge - Technology Leads the Future,’ the event features 31 domestic publishing and distribution units. The fair emphasizes the integration of traditional reading culture with digital technology, offering spaces for electronic books, audiobooks, and interactive digital experiences to promote lifelong learning and digital transformation in the publishing industry.
