Vietnam students receive semiconductor scholarships as WorldSkills 2026 preparations advance

In Vietnam, 188 students have been awarded the INTENSE scholarship for the Fall 2026 semester, providing access to international training in strategic technology sectors such as semiconductors, high technology, and STEM. The scholarship program is a collaborative effort involving the National Innovation Center (NIC), the Ministry of Finance, the INTENSE Scholarship Program from Taiwan, and the Vietnam University of Transport. Information sessions held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City aimed to connect Vietnamese students and educators with international research environments and educational systems.

Separately, preparations for WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 are underway, with over 2,500 journalists expected to cover the event. Representatives from the WorldSkills Champions Trust, including former champions, have been conducting tours of competition areas and the WorldSkills Expo to highlight the importance of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in building sustainable economies.
