Vietnam Tax Authority Guides Use of eTax Mobile for Income Tax Checks

The General Department of Taxation (Cục Thuế) announced detailed instructions for taxpayers to use the eTax Mobile app to view personal income tax settlement information from 2021 onward. The process is completed entirely on a smartphone in five steps: log in, select the “Support for Income Tax Settlement” menu, choose the year, view totals and detailed income sources, and, if discrepancies are found, submit a feedback report.

Feedback options allow the taxpayer to state that they did not receive income from a listed organization or that the organization reported incorrect amounts. Submissions require a reason, supporting documents if available, and OTP verification. Each income source may be reported only once. The tax authority emphasizes that proactive checks help protect taxpayers' legal rights and ensure accurate tax records.
