Vietnam Tax Authority Urges Income Review via eTax Mobile

Vietnam’s tax authority reported cases where personal income information and tax liabilities recorded in the system did not match reality, including instances of tax ID misuse. The discrepancy could affect tax liability, refunds, and other financial transactions. Tax officials urged all taxpayers to review their income data for 2021‑2025 on the eTax Mobile app and to submit any corrections directly through the app’s online feedback feature.

The agency also responded to inquiries from digital content creators, confirming that earnings from platforms such as YouTube must be declared under existing tax rules and outlining the required filing procedures.

In addition, officials provided three ways for individuals and businesses to check outstanding tax liabilities: through the electronic tax portal, via the eTax Mobile application, and via the online enforcement information service that lists tax debt and travel‑restriction notices.
