Vietnam implements new administrative and regulatory updates

Vietnam is implementing several administrative and regulatory updates across various sectors. The Ministry of Finance has proposed reducing registration fees for houses, land, cars, and motorcycles for citizens holding level 2 electronic identification via VNeID. Specifically, this includes a 10% reduction for real estate transfers and significant discounts for vehicles.

In the transport sector, new regulations effective August 15, 2026, will impose fines of 12 to 14 million VND and a 6-point deduction from driver's licenses for private car owners conducting unauthorized passenger transport.

Regarding education, the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued guidance for redundant school principals and vice-principals resulting from institutional restructuring, with a deadline of September 30 for processing resignation policies. Additionally, Ho Chi Minh City has finalized the 2026-2027 school year schedule, setting the opening ceremony for September 5.

Administrative updates also include new procedures for the issuance and revocation of citizen identity cards via the VNeID application, and the synchronization of Party regulations with the Law on Cadres and Civil Servants to address official inaction and responsibility avoidance.
