Vietnam tourism sees boost from culinary festivals and music concerts

Vietnam's tourism sector is experiencing growth driven by large-scale cultural and entertainment events. In Quang Ninh, the 2026 Quang Ninh Culinary Festival is scheduled to take place from November 20–24 at the Vui Fest night market in Bai Chay. The event aims to promote local culinary identity and stimulate tourism during the off-peak season. The festival will feature approximately 150 stalls, including local specialties and offerings from various provinces across the country, alongside activities such as cooking demonstrations, tea ceremonies, and fireworks.

Simultaneously, major music concerts are driving significant demand in the hospitality and aviation sectors. A recent concert by the South Korean group BigBang in Hanoi led to high occupancy rates in hotels near My Dinh Stadium, with many establishments reporting fully booked rooms. This surge in demand resulted in increased hotel rates, with some premium accommodations seeing price hikes of 30% to 50%. The impact has also extended to the aviation market, with increased demand for flights to Hanoi during event periods.
