Vietnam Trade Agency and Meta Sign MoU to Boost SME Digital Skills

Vietnam’s Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) and Meta Platforms signed a memorandum of understanding in Singapore on the sidelines of the 10th ASEAN Conference. The agreement, signed by Vietrade Director General Vu Ba Phu and Meta Public Policy Director Sarim Aziz, aims to help Vietnamese small‑ and medium‑sized enterprises improve digital marketing, branding and market connectivity.

Under the MoU the partners will run joint digital‑trade promotion activities, share knowledge and deliver capacity‑building programmes. A first online training session for Vietnamese SMEs is scheduled for mid‑August, with further courses planned through 2026, including sector‑specific modules for wood processing, textiles, garments and digital industries. The cooperation is intended to expand domestic and overseas market access for Vietnamese firms and strengthen ASEAN’s role as a strategic trade partner.
