Vietnam trade turnover hits $117.69 billion in September

Vietnam recorded a significant surge in trade activity in September, with total import-export turnover reaching $117.69 billion, a 7.3% increase from the previous month and a 42.4% increase year-on-year. This performance allowed the country to achieve a trade surplus of $1.27 billion for the month, reversing nine consecutive months of trade deficits.

For the first nine months of 2026, total turnover reached $888.02 billion, up 30.4% compared to the same period last year. The electronics sector remains a strategic driver; exports of computers, electronic products, and components reached $175.4 billion during this period. Notably, electronic exports to China hit a record high of nearly $6 billion in September, doubling the figures from August.

In addition to the growth in the Chinese market, electronic exports to the United States also reached a record high in September, totaling nearly $7 billion.
