Vietnam traffic accidents cause fatality in Nghệ An and jam on Vĩnh Hảo‑Phan Thiết highway
On the evening of 14 June, a serious collision on National Highway 1A near Cầu Giát in Nghệ An province involved a container‑laden tractor and a motorcycle carrying two teenagers. The impact threw the riders into the road and a bus, killing 17‑year‑old Nguyễn Văn Q and seriously injuring Hà Văn L.
A day later, on 15 June, a fruit‑laden truck (plate 61H‑077) overturned on the Vĩnh Hảo‑Phan Thiết highway in Lâm Đồng province near the junction with National Road 28. The overturned vehicle blocked the north‑south lanes, spilling fruit and causing a prolonged traffic jam. Police redirected traffic to National Road 1 and began clearing the site. Initial investigations suggested a tire burst as the likely cause.
Both incidents prompted immediate response from local police and emergency services, who secured the scenes, provided medical aid, and worked to restore traffic flow.
