Two killed in Vinh Long road crash as car rear‑ends motorbike at red light

On 20 June, a car travelling north on National Highway 1 near Phú Quới bridge in Vĩnh Long province struck a motorcycle that was stopped at a red light. The impact killed the passenger, 21‑year‑old Hồ Ngọc Ái V., on the spot and critically injured the rider, 22‑year‑old Nguyễn Hữu T., who later died in hospital. The driver of the car, 24‑year‑old Nguyễn Văn Hân, was traveling from Cần Thơ toward Vĩnh Long. Police opened an investigation, confirming the motorbike was waiting at the traffic signal when the collision occurred.
