Vietnam train journeys ranked among world's best by Condé Nast Traveler

Two Vietnamese railway experiences have been recognized in Condé Nast Traveler’s 39th annual Readers' Choice Awards for the best train trips in the world for 2026.

The Vietnam Central Heritage Connection, which links Hue and Da Nang, ranked 10th. This approximately three-hour journey travels through the Hai Van Pass, Lang Co Bay, and the Tam Giang – Cau Hai lagoon. The route is noted for its ability to showcase natural landscapes and cultural heritage, featuring quiet carriages for rest and community carriages that host traditional music and dance performances.

The Vietage by Anantara, a luxury rail service, ranked 14th. This service focuses on the luxury travel segment, connecting Da Nang with destinations such as Quy Nhon and Nha Trang, offering passengers a high-end way to view the coastal scenery of Central Vietnam.
