Vietnam transport sector updates: THACO vehicle launches and Hanoi price reviews

THACO AUTO has introduced new economic versions of the THACO Cruizer bus series, including the Cruizer 81SE, Cruizer 81SPE, and Cruizer 120SE. These models are designed to optimize investment efficiency for passenger transport businesses through improved fuel consumption and operational stability. The 29-seat models feature Weichai engines with Bosch fuel injection technology and Top-Down Cooling systems, alongside air suspension to enhance stability.

In Hanoi, the Department of Construction has called on freight and passenger transport businesses to review and reduce service fees in response to declining fuel prices. Authorities are urging companies to ensure that price adjustments reflect lower fuel costs and to avoid increasing rates without corresponding decreases when fuel prices drop. The department also encouraged the optimization of transport routes to reduce empty runs and promoted the transition to electric and clean energy vehicles to stabilize costs and curb inflation.
