Vietnam U17 football team loses friendly against Seoul FC U18

The Vietnam U17 national team lost 1-4 in their first friendly match in South Korea against the Seoul FC U18 squad. The match served as a training session for head coach Cristiano Roland to test personnel and tactical setups ahead of the FIFA U17 World Cup 2026 in Qatar.

Trần Mạnh Quân scored the lone goal for Vietnam via a penalty kick. Despite the loss, the coaching staff utilized the match to evaluate player coordination and physical readiness against high-intensity opponents.

Vietnam's U17 team is scheduled to play two more important training matches in South Korea, facing Cheonan City FC U18 on October 26 and the South Korea U17 national team on October 28.
