Vietnam wealth management shifts as high-net-worth individuals grow

Vietnam is experiencing a significant shift in wealth management as the number of high-net-worth individuals grows. According to the Knight Frank Wealth Sizing Model 2026, Vietnam has approximately 1,233 individuals with a net worth of $30 million or more, a figure projected to increase by 59% between 2026 and 2031.

This growth is supported by a strong economic outlook, with GDP growth reaching 8.18% in the first half of 2026. Standard Chartered forecasts annual growth could reach 9.5% this year and potentially 11% in 2027.

As wealth accumulates, Vietnamese investors are moving away from traditional assets like gold, real estate, and bank deposits toward more sophisticated portfolios including stocks, bonds, and fund certificates. This transition is driving a demand for professional private wealth management services that offer institutional-grade research, risk management, and strategic asset allocation to ensure long-term capital preservation and sustainable growth.
