Vietnam holds national workshop on cultural development

A national scientific workshop was held at the National Assembly of Vietnam to discuss leveraging Vietnamese cultural values as a key driver for national development in a new era. Organized by the Committee on Culture and Social Affairs in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security, the event gathered over 200 delegates to implement the goals of the 14th Party Congress and Politburo Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW.

Speakers emphasized that culture serves as the spiritual foundation, internal resource, and pillar for sustainable development. The workshop aimed to identify institutional bottlenecks, refine legal frameworks, and transform cultural heritage into intellectual assets and a driver for the cultural industry.

In related developments, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development released an updated climate change scenario for Vietnam through 2100, warning of significant temperature increases in major cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as rising sea levels affecting the Mekong Delta.
