Vietnam weather forecast for 2026 National Day holiday
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has released the weather forecast for the 2026 National Day holiday period, spanning from August 28 to September 2.
In Northern Vietnam, rain is expected from the evening of August 29 through September 1, with some areas experiencing heavy rain and thunderstorms. Temperatures will range between 23 and 33 degrees Celsius. In Hanoi, intermittent sunshine is expected on August 29, followed by showers and thunderstorms from the night of August 29 to September 1.
Central Vietnam will see hot weather from August 29 to 30, with temperatures reaching up to 37 degrees Celsius. From the evening of August 30 to September 2, the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri may experience moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms.
The Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam will experience intermittent sunshine with scattered showers in the evenings. Temperatures in the Central Highlands will range from 21 to 30 degrees Celsius, while Southern Vietnam will see temperatures between 24 and 34 degrees Celsius.
Popular tourist destinations such as Sapa and Ha Long are forecasted to have a high probability of rain (60-80%) between August 28 and September 1.
