Vietnam Women's Museum uses 3D printing and AI to engage youth
The Vietnam Women's Museum, in collaboration with RMIT University Vietnam (Hanoi campus), has launched a creative workshop titled ‘Touch - Play - Understand: Exploring Heritage through Creative Experiences’. Part of the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2026 framework, the initiative aims to engage younger generations with cultural heritage through digital technology.
The program utilizes various technological solutions, including 3D printing, artificial intelligence (AI), and 3D digitization. Visitors can interact with artifacts through AI-driven conversations, participate in puzzle games, and use 3D printing to create physical keepsakes, such as keychains, which include QR codes for remote access to historical information.
This follows the 2025 release of the book ‘One Time and Forever,’ which featured 3D digital images of historical items like resistance-era scarves and intelligence officers' masks. The museum is working toward building a cultural experience ecosystem, including a ‘Heritage Kit’ that combines original artifacts with digital tools to foster a deeper connection to history.
