Vietnam Women's Union announces 96th anniversary celebrations

The Vietnam Women's Union has announced a series of activities to celebrate the 96th anniversary of its founding and Vietnamese Women's Day on October 20. A central event is scheduled for October 16, 2026, at the Ho Guom Theater in Hanoi.

The celebrations include three primary components: the 2026 Vietnam Women Award, the second Nguyen Thi Dinh Award, and the launch of the 2027 “Women's Innovative Entrepreneurship, Elevating Vietnamese Brands” competition. The selection council for the 2026 Vietnam Women Award recently met to review 47 eligible dossiers, which include 8 collectives and 46 individuals recognized for outstanding achievements across various sectors such as science, management, education, and healthcare.

The Nguyen Thi Dinh Award aims to honor 32 exemplary female union officials for their contributions to digital transformation and policy development. Additionally, the upcoming entrepreneurship competition will feature support from “AI Women Start Up” experts to assist women in business innovation.
