Vietnam Youth Federation announces first Nguyen Chi Thanh Award recipients

The Vietnam Youth Federation has announced the first 70 recipients of the Nguyen Chi Thanh Award, a prestigious honor dedicated to outstanding officers and members in youth work and movements. The award, named after General Nguyen Chi Thanh, the first President of the Vietnam Youth Federation, will be presented in 2026 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the organization's traditional day.

Eligibility criteria for the award have been expanded, raising the age limit for individuals from under 35 to under 45, with exceptions for exceptional cases up to age 40. The scope of candidates has also broadened to include Youth Union officers, members, and youth workers within the police and military forces.

Among the honorees are two leaders from Ha Tinh province: Nguyen Hong Tiep, Secretary of the Son Giang commune Youth Union and Chairman of the local Vietnam Youth Federation, and Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang, Secretary of the Cam Binh commune Youth Union and Chairman of the local Vietnam Youth Federation. Tiep has been recognized for implementing sustainable community models, such as environmental protection clubs and legal awareness programs, as well as utilizing technology through QR code digitization for community activities.
