Vietnam Youth Federation launches 2026 “Shine the Vietnamese Determination” program for disabled youth

The Vietnam Youth Federation (Hội Liên hiệp Thanh niên Việt Nam), together with the Disabled Youth Union and TCP Group, held a press conference in Hanoi on 4 August to introduce the 2026 edition of the “Shine the Vietnamese Determination” (Tỏa sáng Nghị lực Việt) program. The initiative, launched in 2013, honors outstanding disabled youth who have become entrepreneurs, artisans, scientists, athletes and other contributors to society.

Since its inception, the program has recognized 275 exemplary disabled youths at the central level. In 2026 it will honor 25 individuals under the age of 35 and expand support services, including startup funding, digital‑transformation training, market‑linkage assistance and a dedicated “Shine the Vietnamese Determination” day. Activities will run from June to September, culminating in an awards ceremony on 19 September in Hanoi. Key figures at the launch included Nguyễn Kim Quy, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Phạm Văn Thành, Chairman of the Disabled Youth Union, and Arjaree Suwangool, Director of Communications and Foreign Affairs at TCP Group.
