Vietnam Youth Rural Startup Competition Semi-Finals in Lao Cai

The 2026 “Dự án khởi nghiệp thanh niên nông thôn” (Rural Youth Startup) competition held its Northern semi‑finals on 30 July in Lao Cai Province. Secretary Nguyen Kim Quy of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union opened the event, emphasizing the national goal of becoming a high‑income, technologically advanced country by 2045.

The contest attracted 315 project entries from 33 provinces, with 120 advancing past the preliminary round. Thirty‑five projects presented their proposals before a judging panel, and the top 30 will move on to the national finals scheduled for September. Winners will receive commendations from the Youth Union and the competition organizers, and the event provides a platform for showcasing products, attracting investment, and promoting digital and green transformation in Vietnam’s rural economy.
