Vietnam Youth Union digitises over 700,000 historic stories

The Vietnam Youth Union (Đoàn TNCS Hồ Chí Minh) has digitised more than 712,000 historical stories collected from over 112,000 witnesses after one year of the "Câu chuyện thời hoa lửa" project. The initiative, launched on 27 July 2025 to mark the 78th anniversary of Vietnam’s Veterans Day, aims to preserve memories of the revolutionary era and use them as a vivid tool for youth education.

On 26 July the Union held a concluding conference in Nghe An province, chaired by First Secretary Bùi Quang Huy and Secretary Nguyễn Tường Lâm. Participants highlighted the importance of directly recording, audio‑visualising and online storing testimonies, thereby creating a digital archive that brings history closer to young people and reinforces patriotism and responsibility toward the nation.
