Vietnam Youth Union pushes new startup support for young entrepreneurs

At a forum on youth entrepreneurship in Lạng Sơn on 24 June, representatives such as Lại Hoàng Nam highlighted the need for stronger coordination between the Union, state agencies, businesses and support organisations to overcome obstacles faced by young entrepreneurs, including limited market access, low‑value loans (often capped at about VND 100 million) and weak inter‑provincial networking. Initiatives discussed included joint training, promotion of OCOP products, idea‑contests, and the establishment of a digital‑transformation startup club in Đồng Nai.

New Union Secretary Nguyễn Kim Quy reaffirmed the Union’s commitment to youth‑led startups as a priority of the 2026‑2031 term. He announced an annual private‑sector forum, an action plan to implement Party Resolution 68‑NQ/TW, and targets to support at least 750 innovative youth projects, boost digital skills for 80% of young people, and involve 10 million youths in language and international‑integration programs. The Union aims to create a nationwide network for sharing ideas, mentorship and funding to sustain sustainable economic growth.
