Vietnamese universities celebrate major academic milestones

Several Vietnamese academic institutions recently celebrated significant milestones. The Faculty of Special Education at Hanoi National University of Education marked its 25th anniversary, with officials noting its contributions to scientific foundations and human resource development in the special education sector.

The Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment at the Vietnam National University of Agriculture celebrated 50 years of establishment. Originally founded in 1976 as the Faculty of Land Management, it has evolved into a center for training in soil science, agrochemistry, and sustainable resource management. Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Trong Yen emphasized the need for resource management to align with economic efficiency and social equity.

Additionally, Nha Trang University commemorated 50 years of its development in Khanh Hoa province. The institution has a unique history as the only university to have completely relocated from North to South Vietnam in 1976. Now a multi-disciplinary public university, it aims to become one of Vietnam’s top 20 universities by 2045.
