Vietnamese actress Mỹ Duyên celebrated for iconic fairy tale roles

Meritorious Artist Mỹ Duyên, born in 1972, remains a beloved figure in Vietnamese performing arts, particularly noted for her roles in children's theater. Trained in ballet in Russia, she gained widespread popularity during the 2000s through the IDECAF theater program ‘Ngày Xửa Ngày Xưa’.

Due to her frequent portrayals of fairy tale characters such as Snow White and Mỵ Nương, fans have affectionately dubbed her a ‘princess’. Her impact on the genre was noted by contemporary artists like Thành Lộc, who referred to her as the ‘eternal princess who never grows old for children’.

Beyond theater, Mỹ Duyên has maintained a diverse career in film and television, appearing in various notable productions throughout the 1990s and 2000s, and continuing to participate in successful cinematic projects in recent years.
