Vietnamese artists Cao Minh and Thanh Tuấn highlighted for cultural contributions

Vietnamese artists Cao Minh and Thanh Tuấn are highlighted for their significant contributions to the nation's performing arts.

Cao Minh, often referred to as the ‘king of revolutionary music’ in the South, is starring in the film ‘Nghi hưu sợ nghỉ hưu’ directed by Huỳnh Lập. The film has seen strong box office performance, earning over 12 billion VND. In the movie, Cao Minh portrays a veteran dealing with psychological instability and spiritual phenomena, a role he prepared for using his own life experiences.

Meanwhile, People's Artist Thanh Tuấn, a prominent figure in the ‘golden generation’ of Cải lương, continues his artistic work at age 76. After recovering from a severe illness that left him in a coma, he has returned to teaching. Through his own company, he provides training in Vọng cổ and Cải lương to students of various ages, aiming to preserve these traditional art forms.
