Authorities in Vietnam have conducted several high-profile investigations involving financial crimes, human trafficking, and corruption.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Pham The Tung commended the police for their role in stabilizing the local financial environment.

In Bac Ninh, police have dismantled two human trafficking rings. Five suspects were prosecuted, including Trieu Thi Hien and her adopted son, Hoang Van Quynh, for luring a girl under 16 to China to be sold as a wife. Another case involved the trafficking of a 23-year-old woman under false pretenses of high-paying work.

In Thanh Hoa, the People's Procuracy returned a case file involving the Dong A Group and former provincial leaders for supplementary investigation. The case concerns abuse of power, illegal auctioning of assets, and tax evasion related to real estate projects.

Additionally, in Lao Cai, investigations into the Viet Trung Mineral and Smelting Company have led to recommendations to prosecute 31 defendants, including former General Director Bui Thanh Bình, for bribery and mismanagement causing losses exceeding 434 billion VND.
